Position Summary
- Supervise other wait staff/food service workers to ensure that all jobs are done in a timely manner
- Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies.
- Work with nursing and other dining staff to serve residents
- Ensures all food service department policies and safety rules are followed
- Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
- Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths when needed
- Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in establishments, such as cafeterias or dining rooms, to facilitate customer service
- Serve food to customers when waiters or waitresses need assistance
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior food service experience required, preferably in a lead position
- Experience waiting tables preferred
