OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION
people person who has an outgoing personality with a positive representation, is passionate about the craft of making drinks, and who wants to continuously build and better both themselves at their craft. A team player who works with all other resort outlets to better the overall guest experience resort wide. This position requires someone that is knowledgeable and familiar with the trends of spirits, beverages and beverage service.
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Ensures all beverage stocks are kept in the proper storage under the appropriate temperature.
- Responds to the results of the consumer audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.
- Assists in Bar stock inventory and maintains an accurate inventory record.
Guest Satisfaction
- Ensures the delivery of brand promise and always provides exceptional guest service.
- Provides excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
- Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Operations
- Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented.
- Ensures that all Food and Beverage Essentials are implemented.
- Presents menu/ drinks list, answers enquiries and makes suggestions regarding food, beverage and service to guests.
- Takes orders and serves food and beverage to guest according to the established sequence and procedures.
- Fully conversant with all aspects of the POS System.
QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING EXPERIENCE
- 1 to 3 years experience in Hotel Food and Beverage operations or free standing restaurants or bars.
- Previous experience in night life scene preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written in English.
- Familiarization with Forbes standards is preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent experience.
