Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and replace broken plumbing fixtures.
  • Install new plumbing fixtures and hot water systems.
  • Clear obstructions from waste and sewage pipes.
  • Operate pipe cutters and other plumbing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Analyze building plans and blueprints to determine installation sequences.
  • Locate and mark pipe positions and connections.
  • Cut openings in floors and walls for plumbing installations.
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.
  • Join pipes using screws, bolts, and other fittings.
  • Conduct pressure tests to identify leaks.
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
  • Replace washers in leaking faucets and repair burst pipes.
  • Install campus-wide sprinkler systems.
  • Lead plumbing projects and oversee assigned workers.
  • Estimate project timelines and inspect completed work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Technical or vocational degree with two years of related experience; OR
  • High school diploma/GED with four years of related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing tools, methods, and practices.
  • Familiarity with plumbing codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
