Specialty Surgeon – Outpatient Surgery Team
Join Bond Vet’s Growing Specialty Surgical Team!
Bond Vet is expanding its outpatient specialty surgery team and seeking a skilled surgeon to join our network. This part-time or full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work with a built-in referral network of over 20 clinics in the New York tristate area, with more than 60 referring practitioners. Enjoy flexibility in scheduling and case selection, and the option to contribute to veterinarian development while helping shape a multi-surgeon specialty practice network.
With no ER duties, no on-call shifts, and a predictable schedule, this role provides an exceptional quality of life in a collaborative, culture-driven environment.

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage a specialty surgery caseload from the NY metropolitan area and beyond.
- Deliver high-quality surgical care, ensuring it is safe, effective, patient-focused, and efficient.
- Build and maintain referral relationships, working collaboratively with our general practitioners to optimize case selection and pre-referral workups.
- Stay current on surgical advancements, identifying opportunities for growth in techniques and technology.
- Contribute to the development of practice protocols and implement them effectively.
- Act as a Bond Vet ambassador, fostering connections within the veterinary community.
- Support professional development, mentoring general practitioners in basic soft tissue surgical procedures.
Who We’re Looking For:
- DVM/VMD (or foreign equivalent)
- Board-certified or residency-trained surgeon, licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State
- DEA licensure & Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification, if required
- 3-5+ years of clinical experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $220,000 – $275,000 annually, depending on schedule, skills, location, and experience
