Job Overview

AltaMed is seeking a dedicated physician to provide primary care medical services to our patients while managing an assigned patient panel. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a leading community health network.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education & Licensing: Medical degree with the necessary education and training to practice medicine in California. Active, unrestricted California medical license issued by the Medical Board of California is required. Board certification in a specialty is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience and training as a physician. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
  • Skills & Leadership: Strong leadership and management abilities are a plus.
  • Insurance & Compliance: Must meet the qualifications for inclusion under AltaMed’s malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual skills in English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred, depending on location.
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
