Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repairs related to structural construction, framing, cabinetry, staircases, and trim work.
  • Install and repair various wall coverings, including paint, drywall, paneling, veneers, rubber, and wood cove base.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications.
  • Conduct standard calculations related to project requirements.
  • Utilize a range of carpenter’s hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of journey-level carpentry experience with a completed formal apprenticeship or equivalent vocational/technical training.
  • Accredited college coursework in a related field may substitute for equivalent work experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses and credentials for this position.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting, adapting to job changes on short notice.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of motivation and flexibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to meet government worksite access requirements.
  • Working knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, sleet, and snow, on uneven terrain such as hills and slopes.
  • Must be able to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift/carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Potential exposure to dust, particulates, hazardous substances, and high-voltage areas.
  • Must be available for alternate and extended shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by mission demands.
  • Ability to perform on-call duties and report to work within the designated timeframe.
  • Valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record as defined by company policy.
  • Must pass a drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.
