Description
The Event Marketing Manager will focus on the planning and tactical implementation of Funko’s events, creating a level of excitement around Funko products through innovative event concepts. This role is responsible for supporting major conventions and Tradeshows where Funko brands are sold and represented, as well as directly managing other brand marketing events such as media events, product launches, and retail store events. Key responsibilities include budgeting, logistics, event marketing, and evaluating event effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, strategize and project manage all aspects of event execution from start to finish – including pre-event field enablement, collaboration across multiple teams, onsite event support contract signing, to managing and project managing all sponsor benefits, detailed pre/post promotion/follow up plans, etc.
- Bring a detailed eye to our communications, planning, logistics, and event execution. Bring your creative self and your passion for well-crafted events to work every day and communicate your unique voice to the stories that we tell at these events.
- Optimize brand positioning and go to market strategies by identifying key marketing opportunities and white space including but not limited to external activations (Convention booths, sponsorships, in-store activations etc.)
- Support the execution ofbrand strategy, ideating concepts, and execution of all initiatives, including digital activations, press-generating stunts, strategic partnerships and promotions, and network presence at consumer tentpole events.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in event marketing and planning, including 1-2 years of tradeshow experience with a proven ability to manage event logistics and create memorable brand experiences.
- Experience with integrating events into an overall marketing strategy.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to approach event planning strategically in relation to business goals.
- Proactive, self-motivated work style with strong project management skills.
