Job Responsibilities
Network Design & Architecture
- Lead the design and deployment of large-scale, high-availability network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, data centers, and wireless networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network architecture aligns with business objectives and technology strategies.
- Develop and maintain detailed network design documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance network performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Design and manage cloud-based network infrastructures, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises environments.
Network Implementation & Management
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring reliability, security, and high availability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the network environment, ensuring consistency and proactive management.
- Lead large-scale network upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and uphold network security best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN configurations to protect against cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security frameworks.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to network engineers and IT staff.
- Lead technical discussions and present network solutions to key stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry advancements, emerging technologies, and certifications, recommending adoption when beneficial.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team knowledge and capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT, development, and operations teams to enhance and support network services.
- Contribute technical expertise to project planning and execution for network-related initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking.
- Identify and implement opportunities for network optimization and process enhancements.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of network policies, procedures, and best practices.
