Key Responsibilities of an IT Service Desk Manager

  • Lead and manage a high-performing IT Service Desk team to ensure efficient issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement IT service desk policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee the allocation of workloads, ensuring service priorities are met.
  • Coordinate the escalation of incidents and service requests, liaising with third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Work closely with IT leadership to enhance service delivery and minimize disruption.

What We’re Looking for in an IT Service Desk Manager

Proven leadership experience in an IT Service Desk or IT Support role.
Strong communication and customer service skills to engage with end-users effectively.
Ability to develop and manage IT service desk policies to optimize performance.
Experience in healthcare, social care, or similar fast-paced environments is a plus.
A strategic thinker who can drive improvements while managing daily IT operations.
