Sales Representative Responsibilities

Retail Sales & Account Management

  • Drive sales growth for the Escalade Wines & Spirits portfolio
  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs
  • Expand brand distribution, ensuring core brands gain visibility
  • Strengthen relationships with retail stores to increase shelf space and positioning
  • Organize trade days for supplier and manager visits
  • Develop and execute quarterly programming strategies with retail chain managers
  • Maintain an efficient 6-week route plan for territory coverage

Restaurant & On-Premise Sales

  • Develop and maintain relationships with restaurant owners and beverage managers
  • Secure new placements for feature menus and by-the-glass (BTG) pours
  • Identify opportunities for brand expansion within the hospitality industry

Administrative & Industry Engagement

  • Log daily activities and sales efforts using CHG XRM system
  • Maintain an up-to-date account database
  • Manage budgets and expenses according to company policies
  • Attend trade shows, supplier dinners, and industry events as needed
  • Flexible working hours, including occasional nights and weekends for events

What You Bring to the Table

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for the wine and spirits industry
  • Minimum WSET Level 1 certification (WSET Level 2 preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in liquor sales, retail, or hospitality
  • College or university degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing is an asset
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a results-driven mindset

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside in Edmonton or surrounding areas for efficient territory coverage
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds of promotional materials
  • Possession of a valid AB Driver’s License and compliance with company auto insurance policies
  • Must hold a valid passport for occasional travel
