Job Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical research by collecting, managing, analyzing, and presenting data in both numerical and graphical formats.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists to integrate and interpret biomedical data for research applications.
- Communicate findings effectively to project leaders and principal investigators.
- Summarize statistical analyses using graphs, tables, and charts.
- Utilize established computational pipelines to analyze clinical and biomedical data.
- Develop and implement new computational methods for managing and analyzing biomedical and clinical datasets.
- Work closely with bench scientists to analyze and interpret genomic data.
- Perform rigorous data quality control and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Adapt and refine genomic data analysis pipelines in a dynamic research environment.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and executing customized pipelines for collaborative research projects.
- Continuously learn and apply new analytical techniques and software tools as needed.
- Create concise and visually effective presentations to communicate analysis results.
- Develop bioinformatics workflows and computational methods to analyze high-throughput metagenomics and other biomedical data.
- Establish analysis pipelines for various biomedical datasets, including molecular, imaging, and electronic health records, ensuring quality control and advanced bioinformatics analysis.
- Curate and organize biomedical data, create structured databases, and develop interactive web-based visualizations.
- Prepare and present research findings, reports, and evaluations to diverse audiences.
- Lead data-driven projects, including development, deployment, and performance evaluation.
- Design and implement advanced data solutions using machine learning and informatics techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of research experience, with formal training in statistics and machine learning.
- Strong programming skills in R, MATLAB, and Python.
- Strong critical thinking abilities and the capability to apply theoretical concepts to real-world applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
