Halesbury School is seeking an experienced Caretaker to help maintain our facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained space for students, staff, and visitors. Location: Halesbury School, Feldon Lane, Halesowen, B62 9DR
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (37.5 hours per week, year-round)
Salary: Grade 5, Scale Point 7 – 11
Annual Leave: 26 days + Public Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities of the Caretaker
Building Maintenance – Perform general repairs and upkeep to ensure school facilities remain in top condition.
Health & Safety Compliance – Conduct routine checks and inspections to maintain a secure environment.
Cleaning & Upkeep – Assist with school cleanliness and waste management.
Emergency Repairs – Quickly respond to maintenance issues as they arise.
Event Support – Help set up and dismantle equipment for school events.
What We’re Looking For in a Caretaker
Experience in caretaking, maintenance, or a similar role.
A proactive and practical problem solver with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while being a team player.
Knowledge of basic repairs, plumbing, and electrical work is a plus.
Commitment to safeguarding and safety procedures.
