Job Responsibilities
Daily Tasks (including but not limited to):
- Prioritize shipments, ensuring critical and premium shipments are executed first, regardless of the transportation mode.
- Manage air shipments based on priority levels:
- NFO (Next Flight Out): Highest priority for critical and premium shipments.
- Standard: Priority shipments utilizing GSA Keylanes (Global Heavyweight Air).
- Deferred: Spot-quoted shipments, as GSA Keylanes do not cover deferred rates.
- Handle booking confirmations, shipment tracking, and monitoring throughout the process.
- Request spot quotes (RFQ) from freight forwarders.
- Track shipments within the OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) system.
- Determine the appropriate shipping method (ocean or airfreight) based on the required delivery date.
- Verify Incoterms between email communication and OTM records.
- Submit booking requests to freight forwarders or carriers as need.
