Responsibilities

This role involves a variety of key tasks, including:

  • Assisting in the planning and logistics for Dolby 1275 Customer Briefing Experiences, ensuring seamless coordination of demonstrations, meetings, and other essential logistics.
  • Organizing 1275 internal and customer/partner events, including atrium receptions on the first floor and Dolby Cinema screenings for Studio partners, film festivals, and internal teams.
  • Providing guidance and support for events hosted by various business and community organizations at Dolby Laboratories.
  • Aiding in the maintenance and continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of off-site event activations, including executive award event weekends and tradeshows.
  • Assisting with the setup and operation of basic living room and mobile demo technology.
  • Contributing to event performance tracking, activity metrics, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Experience in events, customer service, communications, marketing, or media.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity.
  • Interest in consumer technology and the entertainment industry (films and/or music background is a plus but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to learn and work with tools and platforms such as Airtable, Smartsheet, Miro, event registration platforms, Concur, and survey tools.
  • 2-3 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or event planning.
