About the Job

A Production Designer specializes in executing design and production tasks for advertising campaigns. This role focuses on translating conceptual and strategic solutions into final mechanical files, ensuring high-quality and accurate production deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to design style guides, templates, and tutorials to create assets such as creative layouts, covers, logos, and marketing materials.
  • Develop creative styles, cover designs, and marketing templates.
  • Execute designs that effectively align with client needs and brand identity.
  • Make detailed corrections to creative and marketing materials based on client feedback, content partners, or internal reviews.
  • Perform photo retouching, including toning and cleaning grayscale and color images.
  • Manage pre-press activities, including pre-flighting files and generating press-ready PDFs.
  • Support supervisors and team members with various tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, trade school certification, or equivalent work experience in print design.
  • 5+ years of experience in production or graphic design.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in following templates and instructions.
  • Expertise in InDesign (most production tasks will be done in this software).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Strong typography knowledge, including font pairings and principles.
  • Experience with PDF prepress workflows, including pre-flight checks.
  • Understanding of color correction, image resolution, file formats, and compression.
  • Ability to take on complex design projects as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, collaborative team player with an upbeat attitude.
