Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee asset production throughout the entire design process, ensuring seamless execution from initial creative direction to pixel-perfect final designs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Curation, and Product Design teams to align product and market strategies effectively.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the VSCO Brand System and serve as a dedicated advocate for its core principles.
  • Bring fresh, innovative perspectives to your work, continuously exploring new ways to engage and inspire our audience.
  • Champion the voices of creators within our community, ensuring conceptual integrity in all design efforts.
  • Partner with the Curation Team to uphold and refine best practices for showcasing community work in impactful ways.
  • Maintain the highest standards of design quality, paying close attention to detail during final handoffs and QA processes.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience as a full-time visual designer.
  • Strong foundation in color theory, typography, composition, graphic illustration, and visual storytelling using imagery.
  • A portfolio showcasing versatility across design styles, adherence to brand systems, and refined execution of simple yet impactful designs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to design within constraints, prioritize accessibility, and maintain safe-area guidelines.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously, balancing overlapping production timelines.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to gathering and implementing feedback in a remote work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to create and adapt templates for efficient teamwork.
  • Experience working in agile and start-up environments.
