About BAE Systems:
BAE Systems, a leader in advanced defense systems, is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive Oracle experience to join their C4ISR Systems team.
Role Overview:
The DBA will define and develop upgrades to an enterprise-wide Imagery Archive and Geospatial Intelligence System, working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and deploy new Oracle database configurations.
- Support a large, complex system capable of ingesting large amounts of data.
- Work full-time on-site at a BAE Systems facility.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship with TS/SCI clearance (and ability to obtain additional clearances).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical discipline.
- 8+ years of database development and administration experience.
- Strong experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Strong experience with Oracle RAC 19c, RMAN, installation, patching, and updates.
- Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Oracle Dataguard.
- Competency in UNIX shell programming.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience with database design and development processes.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with Oracle Label Security and Oracle Identity Management.
- Basic understanding of UNIX system administration.
- Experience with other RDBMS and NoSQL platforms (HDFS, Postgres, MongoDB, AllegroGraph, NoSQL, RDF, SPARQL).
- Experience with Jira and GitLab.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $130,355 – $221,603 (based on various factors).
