Key Responsibilities of a Server
- Deliver exceptional food and beverage service with professionalism.
- Set tables according to event and service standards.
- Answer guests’ questions about menu selections and make recommendations.
- Ensure seamless communication with the kitchen regarding orders, special requests, and wait times.
- Process transactions using the MICROS system and present accurate checks to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, china, glassware, and dining areas.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a professional appearance.
What You Need to Succeed as a Server
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in food service or hospitality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
