Operations Generalist – Role Overview

As an Operations Generalist, you play a vital role in executing our merchandising and inventory strategies across the Pet Care Center, ensuring smooth operations to meet the needs of both guests and their pets. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining a clean and organized store, operating the register, and providing top-notch customer service. Passion for pet welfare, health, and care is essential, along with a positive and collaborative attitude within the Pet Care Center team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory and store presentation across the entire Pet Care Center.
  • Ensure products are properly stocked, priced, and displayed to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Process transactions efficiently and provide excellent service at the register.
  • Apply our selling model to assist and engage with customers as needed.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for animal welfare and uphold animal care protocols.
  • Complete and apply training programs to build expertise in the role.
  • Foster a team-oriented, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Adhere to all operational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Handle guest inquiries and refer them to the Leader on Duty when necessary.
  • Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and strong communication skills.
  • A professional appearance, demeanor, and a genuine passion for animals and their care.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for customer interactions and collaboration with team members.

Education & Skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate mathematical proficiency and basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer engagement abilities.
