Keys Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a nationwide team of librarians to deliver comprehensive and advanced research, current awareness, and knowledge management services to colleagues across all firm offices.
- Educate attorneys and professional staff on the strategic and cost-effective use of research resources.
- Develop expertise in a broad range of legal, business, and practice-related information sources.
- Build proficiency in AI tools to enhance research efficiency and capabilities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of team workflows and documentation.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by engaging with attorneys and professional staff.
- Participate in professional development activities at both local and national levels.
- Support various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirments and Qualification
- A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a Juris Doctor (JD).
- At least 3 years of experience in legal reference and research, preferably within a law firm or corporate library setting.
- Proven proficiency with major legal and business research platforms, public records databases, competitive intelligence tools, and state and federal legal information resources.
- Knowledge of legal systems, agencies, and information sources in California or any state where the firm operates.
- Familiarity with emerging research technologies, including AI and collaboration software, as well as knowledge management principles.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
