Social Media Coordinator
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to manage and execute our social media strategy. This role will be key to enhancing brand visibility, increasing engagement, and growing our online community. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the firearms industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Curation: Develop and curate engaging content (photos, videos, graphics, and copy) for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.) that aligns with the company’s voice, mission, and brand values.
- Social Media Management: Oversee day-to-day social media operations, including scheduling posts, responding to comments/messages, and maintaining a consistent posting calendar.
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Plan, implement, and monitor social media campaigns and promotions, ensuring alignment with product launches, special events, and industry trends.
- Community Engagement: Foster an active and positive online community by interacting with followers, moderating discussions, and building relationships with influencers, industry leaders, and customers.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media content and campaigns, using insights to optimize strategies and improve engagement rates.
- Brand Awareness: Support efforts to expand brand recognition and position the company as a trusted authority in the firearms industry through effective storytelling and audience engagement.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and align social media activities with overall business objectives.
- Stay Updated: Monitor industry trends, social media best practices, and competitor activity to ensure the company’s social media presence remains relevant and competitive.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, preferably within the firearms, outdoor, or lifestyle industries.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the firearms industry and related regulatory guidelines, with the ability to communicate safely and effectively on social media.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Strong written and visual communication skills
- Ability to create, edit, and repurpose multimedia content (photography, video, graphics)
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)
- Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and social media metrics
- Personality: Creative, adaptable, and passionate about firearms culture and the outdoor lifestyle. Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.)
- Familiarity with firearms-related content, communities, and advocacy
- Photography and video editing skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations regarding firearms marketing
