Bartender – The Monarch (Old Town Scottsdale)
Experience The Monarch, a vibrant and relaxed escape in Old Town Scottsdale, managed by Evolution Hospitality (a division of Aimbridge Hospitality). Inspired by the butterfly, The Monarch offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with six unique buildings, poolside relaxation, and delicious dining.
About the Role:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks and food to patrons, verifying age, and coordinating lounge/bar activities.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 months of related experience or equivalent training/experience.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (as per state regulations).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage difficult customer situations with professionalism.
- Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety and security procedures.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to meet work schedule demands, including flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
- Verify customer age for alcohol purchases.
- Present menus, answer questions, and take food and beverage orders.
- Prepare drinks (wine, liquor, beer).
- Prepare appetizers and food items according to recipes.
- Monitor seating and ensure all guests are served.
- Process payments and balance receipts.
- Limit problems related to excessive drinking.
- Clean bar area, equipment, and glassware.
- Maintain a clean and stocked kitchen and lounge station.
- Plan, organize, and control lounge/bar operations.
- Prepare garnishes.
- Create attractive displays of bottles and glasses.
- Create drink recipes.
- Inventory supplies and order as needed.
- Maintain temperature and waste logs.
- Inspect food and supplies for quality and quantity.
- Ensure accurate tip reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Handle cash, prepare cash drops, and balance the bank.
- Interact with guests and colleagues.
- Maintain trust and responsibility.
- Represent the company with good character and sound judgment.
