About the Job
Bartender Position – Wilsonville, Oregon
This role focuses on providing excellent customer service by preparing and serving drinks, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service.
- Learn guest preferences and offer personalized recommendations.
- Accurately take and process food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Prepare cocktails, pour beer and other beverages, and ensure proper presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and restocking supplies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques.
- Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and laws (TIPS certification required).
- Ensure order accuracy and quality before serving.
- Minimize waste and maintain beverage cost controls.
- Conduct inventory and requisition supplies.
- Pre-bus and bus tables.
- Attend required meetings and training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Bartending school or relevant experience is a plus.
- Minimum one year of bartending experience preferred.
- TIPS or other state-approved alcohol service certification required.
- Ability to perform basic math and computer/POS functions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typically indoors with controlled temperature and lighting. Some exposure to the outdoors may occur.
