About the Job
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) seeks a Social Media and Marketing Specialist for their Infectious Disease division. This role involves developing and implementing content strategies for various social media platforms, creating brand-consistent content, using image and video editing software, providing graphic design and marketing support, and monitoring/evaluating website and social media performance.
Responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy, creating and managing content, engaging with users, analyzing metrics, collaborating with other teams, developing community outreach, creating designs, managing social ad campaigns, staying updated on social media trends, and providing reports. The role also includes assisting with general administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 1-3 years of graphic design experience (agency background a plus). Proficiency in Adobe Suite, basic understanding of UI/UX design, attention to detail, good time management, and effective communication skills are required. The ideal candidate can work independently and in a team setting.
