As a Security Officer, you will oversee the shopping centre, underground car park (700+ spaces), and service yards, ensuring a secure environment while assisting individuals in need. Key Responsibilities of a Security Officer

  • Conduct routine patrols of the mall, outdoor spaces, underground car park, and service yards.
  • Secure all entry points, fire exits, and restricted areas overnight.
  • Monitor and prevent unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
  • Assist vulnerable individuals in distress when required.
  • De-escalate conflicts and collaborate with external authorities, such as law enforcement.
  • Conduct fire alarm checks and ensure all emergency exits are unobstructed.
  • Respond to security-related incidents, including antisocial behavior and property damage.
  • Maintain communication with the CCTV Controller and fellow Security Officers via radio.
  • Assist in securing retail stores and protecting high-value assets after business hours.
  • Record incidents, maintenance issues, and security concerns in the daily log.
  • Ensure individuals passing through the mall do not cause disturbances to residents during late hours.

Requirements for a Security Officer Role

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Prior experience in the security industry is an advantage.
  • SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
