Your Role as a Health Care Assistant
As a Health Care Assistant, you will assist with clinical duties, patient care, and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient and effective healthcare delivery. Your responsibilities include:
H2: Key Responsibilities
- Supporting nurses and GPs in patient care
- Conducting health checks, blood pressure monitoring, and BMI assessments
- Assisting with chronic disease management, including diabetes, CHD, and hypertension
- Administering B12, flu, pneumonia, and shingles vaccines under patient-specific directives
- Providing wound care, including dressing changes and removal of stitches or clips
- Performing ECGs, venepuncture, INR testing, and urinalysis
- Assisting with infection control and stock management
- Delivering health education, weight management advice, and signposting services
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Skills

- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing outstanding patient care
- Desirable Experience
- Previous Health Care Assistant experience preferred
- Familiarity with wound management and chronic disease monitoring
