Backroom Associate Responsibilities
Efficient Inventory & Freight Management
- Maintain and process shipments according to company policies.
- Develop and post delivery schedules while compiling and organizing receiving reports.
- Verify merchandise counts and route shipments to the correct locations.
- Process claims for damaged goods and handle liquidation merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and organized clearance area and receiving zone.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, conducting regular safety sweeps.
- Handle hazardous materials properly and comply with steel standard guidelines.
- Report any unsafe conditions to management.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work alongside managers, co-workers, and business partners to meet deadlines.
- Use data and policies to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions.
- Adapt to change and respond to feedback for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to obtain a Forklift Certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
- Familiarity with logistics and merchandise handling processes.
