Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $60,000 – $110,000 (including performance bonuses and stock options)

What You’ll Do as Case Manager I, Claims Management

As a Case Manager I, Claims Management, you will lead investigations, assess claim validity, and minimize legal exposure. You will work with medical and legal teams to manage bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage claims while ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations, analyze medical and legal documentation, and collaborate with experts to determine claim legitimacy.
  • Handle financial aspects, including setting reserves, approving payments, and managing structured settlements.
  • Lead negotiations with claimants, attorneys, and third parties to reach fair resolutions.
  • Assess medical reports, pre-existing conditions, and legal case precedents to inform claim decisions.
  • Work with outside legal counsel and attend arbitrations to reduce legal exposure.
  • Mentor and train team members to ensure high-performance case management.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies, ethics, and integrity standards.

Essential Qualifications for Case Manager I, Claims Management

  • Insurance Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years of experience in insurance claims, risk management, or customer service.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting legal and medical records.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in claims settlement within a corporate or insurance environment.
  • Familiarity with case law, compliance regulations, and risk management best practices.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and analytical tools.
