Key Responsibilities:
- Review production schedules to determine the type and quantity of products to prepare.
- Oversee machine setup and changeovers for production runs.
- Follow work instructions, SOPs, and standards for equipment setup and adjustments.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during setup and changeovers, ensuring efficiency.
- Prepare necessary ingredients and equipment, entering product data into touchscreen controls, including raw materials, pumps, gauges, valves, and temperatures.
- Load cookers with essential raw materials such as starch, liquid flavors, sugar, corn syrup, and gelatin to ensure proper mixing and cooking.
- Adjust controls and settings to regulate temperature, raw material amounts, and other variables, ensuring top-tier product quality.
- Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical issues at an entry-level maintenance mechanic capacity.
- Follow escalation procedures when troubleshooting efforts do not resolve an issue.
- Work closely with the maintenance team when additional technical support is required.
- Uphold company core values and operational principles in daily tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies, GMP standards, and safety protocols.
What You Bring to the Role:
- 1+ years of experience in batch-making or food manufacturing preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (1-3 months of related training).
- Strong basic math skills and an understanding of equipment capabilities and setpoints.
- Ability to pass certification tests for pallet jack and stand-up/reach truck forklifts.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- A team-oriented mindset, a positive attitude, and a flexible approach to tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to make necessary adjustments in standardized situations.
