Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a full-time Clinic Medical Assistant for its Bonney Lake, WA Family Care Clinic. About the Position:

As a Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of a care team, providing patient care and support under the supervision of a physician or mid-level provider. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Greeting and preparing patients for their appointments, including taking and documenting vital signs and other relevant information (height, weight, allergies, medications, presenting problem).
  • Assisting with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures, such as blood draws (venous and capillary), injections (intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular), and skin tests.
  • Administering medications and vaccinations.
  • Managing patient flow and ensuring sufficient time for patient and family education.
  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments, and maintaining clean and organized equipment and patient care areas.
  • Scheduling appointments and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Actively participating in continuing education, required meetings, and committees.
  • Performing medical scribe duties, as needed, under the direct supervision and review of the attending provider and in accordance with the FMG Medical Scribe Program Policy.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) and completion of a Medical Assistant certification program from an accredited institution.
  • One year of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified certification.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
