A Day in the Life of an E-commerce Brand Designer:

As an E-commerce Brand Designer, you will:

  • Execute customer-focused creative projects for the e-commerce channel, supporting creative and business strategies.
  • Collaborate with writers and creative leads to ensure creative alignment with omni-channel strategy and campaign concepts.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to bring e-commerce strategies and marketing campaigns to life on the websites.
  • Create engaging and relevant site experiences through compelling brand design, content ideation and execution, and seamless collaboration with the UX team and other marketing channels.
  • Drive creativity and innovation by continuously iterating on creative treatments for brand pages, experiences, and content to enhance brand experience, improve conversion, and drive sales.
  • Partner with the Art Director to ensure design solutions meet all brand and site standards.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously, ensuring on-time launches and flawless execution.
  • Conduct daily live site reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Excellent formal design skills, including typography, composition, color, and layout.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetic quality and a strong sense of typography and graphic design.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to create and execute creative designs for the website based on strategic briefs, adapting for different devices as needed.
  • Strong understanding of retail marketing and e-commerce strategies and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain design decisions, provide concise written communication, and demonstrate collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to problem-solve creatively.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including using and creating components/variants, high-fidelity prototyping, and a commitment to continually developing these skills.
  • Comfort with motion design and basic video editing.

We’d Love to Hear from You if You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Designer for an agency or brand (retail industry experience is a plus).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Design.
  • High proficiency in Figma and the core Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
  • Proficiency with Apple computer operating system.
  • Comfort with Adobe After Effects.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, InVision, and other prototyping tools is a plus.
