Chef – Tesco Cafés

We’re seeking a hospitality-experienced Chef to join our vibrant café kitchen team. You’ll be responsible for daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, storage, and delivering delicious meals that satisfy our customers and keep them coming back. It’s all about making every day a little better for everyone.

You’ll bring your experience in a busy kitchen to Tesco, becoming a café menu expert and sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. From health and safety to minimizing food waste, you’ll understand the importance of every detail and motivate your team to deliver outstanding food quality and speed of service – because at Tesco, we always go the extra mile for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will evolve with Tesco’s business needs, but generally include:

  • Food storage and preparation according to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Preparing and serving tasty food to customers while maintaining high standards and adhering to recipes.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance customer and colleague service.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and food safety regulations.
  • Understanding and meeting the key performance indicators of our service plan.
