  • Job Opportunity: Security & Risk Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain high standards of service excellence within your area of responsibility.
    • Perform security and risk reduction tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).

    Key Duties Include:

    • Crime prevention and detection
    • Managing pedestrian and vehicle access control
    • Monitoring and controlling visitor and contractor access
    • Conducting routine patrols
    • Responding to incidents and alarms
    • Monitoring security and life safety systems
    • Performing searches and investigations
    • Ensuring all risks and incidents are reported and documented
    • Building strong relationships with internal teams such as Operations, HSEQ, Facilities, IT, and People Teams
    • Promoting security awareness through communication and training initiatives
    • Safeguarding colleagues, visitors, and assets within the facility
    • Conducting security audits to maintain compliance with Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation
    • Providing emergency response support in line with company protocols
    • Leading investigations as needed

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Experience in operational security and risk management, particularly in a supply chain environment or similar industry.
    • SIA License holder (or willingness to obtain one).
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Highly self-motivated with strong time management skills.
    • Knowledge of security systems and emerging technologies.
    • Familiarity with industry security standards such as AEO and TAPA.
    • Understanding of UK laws, including P.A.C.E. and business policies.
    • Desirable: Relevant security qualifications and/or prior experience in a similar role.
    • Ability to obtain government SC clearance, if required.Defence
