Job Opportunity: Security & Risk Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of service excellence within your area of responsibility.
- Perform security and risk reduction tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
Key Duties Include:
- Crime prevention and detection
- Managing pedestrian and vehicle access control
- Monitoring and controlling visitor and contractor access
- Conducting routine patrols
- Responding to incidents and alarms
- Monitoring security and life safety systems
- Performing searches and investigations
- Ensuring all risks and incidents are reported and documented
- Building strong relationships with internal teams such as Operations, HSEQ, Facilities, IT, and People Teams
- Promoting security awareness through communication and training initiatives
- Safeguarding colleagues, visitors, and assets within the facility
- Conducting security audits to maintain compliance with Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation
- Providing emergency response support in line with company protocols
- Leading investigations as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in operational security and risk management, particularly in a supply chain environment or similar industry.
- SIA License holder (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Highly self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of security systems and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with industry security standards such as AEO and TAPA.
- Understanding of UK laws, including P.A.C.E. and business policies.
- Desirable: Relevant security qualifications and/or prior experience in a similar role.
- Ability to obtain government SC clearance, if required.Defence
