About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Records Officer to join our Medical Records Department. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate medical records to support inpatient and outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medical records for outpatient clinics, pre-assessment appointments, telephone assessments, and patient admissions within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain, store, file, and track Single Patient Records (SPR) in accordance with hospital policies.
- Provide records upon request for Clinical Governance, audits, secretaries, and consultants while adhering to Information Security and Data Protection regulations.
- Ensure strict compliance with Data Protection Act legislation and hospital data policies.
- Handle confidential patient information with care and discretion at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSE Maths & English (Grades A-C) or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2.
- Proficiency in PC usage, including software and hospital systems.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong customer service skills.
