Role Overview

Reporting to the District Operations Manager, the Relief Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations at assigned sites, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety. This role includes batching and dispatching concrete, managing customer interactions, supervising contractors, and ensuring environmental and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee concrete and mortar production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Operate computer-based batching systems and manage customer service interactions.
  • Carry out routine plant maintenance, inspections, and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Supervise contractors, hauliers, and site visitors to maintain strict health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and verify monthly inventory levels.
  • Maintain site security, cleanliness, and overall presentation.
  • Ensure seamless winter operations, including drainage and maintenance of water pipes, pumps, and other essential systems.

Compliance & Quality Control

  • Ensure all plant materials are stocked and accounted for, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Follow quality control procedures, reporting any safety, environmental, or operational risks.
  • Maintain accurate batching records and ensure all tickets are processed correctly.
  • Seek guidance from the District Operations Manager when necessary.
