About the Role:

The Health Care Assistant (HCA) plays a vital role as part of the multi-disciplinary team, providing essential care to our residents. The HCA supports and delivers personal care, ensuring the independence and well-being of residents while addressing their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with hygiene and dressing care for residents.
  • Safely handle and transfer residents within the nursing home.
  • Deliver meals and assist with feeding residents.
  • Return used trays and dishes to the kitchen, ensuring residents’ rooms remain neat and tidy.
  • Make beds and change linens.
  • Provide incontinence and toileting care, including emptying commodes and changing catheter bags.
  • Support trained nurses in providing psychological and social care as needed.
  • Maintain vigilance to uphold residents’ dignity, comfort, safety, and whereabouts.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
