About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Social Work, specializing in child and family practice, to join our dedicated team. Known for its high-quality teaching, learning, and student support, our team is friendly, progressive, and professional.
The successful candidate will contribute to both undergraduate and Master’s-level qualifying Social Work programs, including our successful apprenticeship programs, and post-qualifying courses. Responsibilities include module leadership, teaching and assessment, student supervision and support, and curriculum development. You will play a key role in the Applied Studies team and contribute to the research profile of the School of Social Sciences and Law, engaging in the school’s strong research culture.
What You Can Bring
We invite applications from Registered Social Workers with child and family social work experience. Candidates should be committed to delivering high-quality teaching in a Higher Education setting, holding at least a master’s level qualification and ideally a teaching qualification. Teaching experience in Higher Education is preferred, along with experience in delivering online learning.
Candidates with an active research profile and the potential to contribute to the School’s research output for the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) submission will be highly valued. Your contributions will enhance the teaching, research, and outreach activities within the Faculty of Education, Society, and Creative Industries, particularly in the School of Social Sciences and Law.
