We are a charity dedicated to supporting women, children, and teens affected by domestic abuse across Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Nottingham City, and Rushcliffe. Our services include a 24/7 Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Freephone Domestic and Sexual Violence Helpline, where individuals can speak with our specially trained female support workers 365 days a year.
With nearly 40 years of experience, we are passionate about helping those impacted by domestic abuse—women and their children—to stay safe and recover from its harmful effects.
Our support services include:
- Crisis support and drop-in centers
- Ongoing one-on-one support
- Refuge accommodation (BMER and Dispersed Refuge service)
- 12-week healthy relationship programs (The Freedom Programme)
- Therapeutic groups for mothers and children
- One-on-one support for teenagers
- Foster care for family pets

Juno Women’s Aid is the largest domestic abuse organization in Nottingham and among the largest in the UK. We serve women, children, and teens affected by domestic abuse in Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Nottingham City, and Rushcliffe.
Our comprehensive services include the 24/7 Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Freephone Domestic and Sexual Violence Helpline, providing access to trained female support workers 365 days a year.
In 2021-2022, we supported 2,095 women, 360 children and young people, provided foster care for 49 pets, and answered over 17,320 Helpline calls. We currently support 500-600 women and children in Nottingham and South Nottinghamshire at any given time.
With over 40 years of service in Nottingham, we are deeply committed to helping those affected by domestic abuse—women, children, and teens—to achieve safety and recovery.
