Lancashire County Council’s Adult Social Care team is seeking compassionate and dependable Support Workers for our Supported Living Service in Lancaster and Morecambe.

If you’re a positive and caring individual wanting to make a real difference in people’s lives, we encourage you to join our team. Our Domiciliary Service needs Support Workers who can significantly improve the lives of individuals within our Adult Disability Service.

You’ll be welcomed into people’s homes, bringing your cheerful attitude and friendly personality to make their daily routines enjoyable. Health and social care experience isn’t essential—a caring heart is what matters most. We provide comprehensive training, including opportunities to earn qualifications and build a rewarding career in this vital service.

These 24-hour per week positions include some sleep-ins and weekend work.

You’ll need motivation and resilience, especially on challenging days, as our service users’ needs can be complex, and you may encounter challenging behavior. Clear and effective communication is essential to provide reassurance and positivity.

You’ll receive a comprehensive induction and mandatory training. The Adult Disability Service promotes career development with various qualifications and training, including an NVQ Level 3 equivalent apprenticeship.
