Our client, a prestigious law firm, is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join their dynamic marketing team. The department includes the BD Director, Marketing and Communications Manager, BD Manager, Marketing Executive, BD Executive, and a Business Development & Marketing Apprentice. FTC Maternity cover (1yr+) – ideally starting April 2025
Standard hours – Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm.
Role Overview:
As the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will collaborate closely with the BD & Marketing team and external suppliers to support Partners and lawyers in all aspects of marketing, branding, PR, and campaigns. You will play a key role in executing the firm’s marketing and communications strategy, ensuring its continued positioning as a leading private client and property law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Management: Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns that enhance business development efforts, utilizing platforms such as events, PR, thought leadership, podcasts, social media, and awards.
- Digital Strategy: Manage the firm’s digital presence, including the website, SEO, social media, and email marketing, ensuring optimal performance and engagement.
- PR & Media: Lead the firm’s PR initiatives, including managing external PR agencies, drafting press releases, monitoring media coverage, and preparing Partners for interviews and media appearances.
- Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to the Family Law team, supporting their broader business development goals.
- Social Media & Branding: Work with the Marketing Executive to manage social media campaigns, support fee earners in leveraging LinkedIn, and ensure all marketing materials align with brand guidelines.
- Event Management: Plan and oversee events linked to marketing campaigns, ensuring clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key marketing metrics, assess campaign effectiveness, and stay updated on industry trends to refine marketing strategies.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: At least five years of experience in a marketing and communications role, ideally within a professional services firm.
- Education: Degree-level education, with a postgraduate qualification in marketing preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., InDesign), Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Vuture).
- Sector Knowledge: Experience or strong interest in Private Wealth & Property sectors.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of SEO, social media, and web analytics to drive online engagement.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels and work effectively as part of a team.
