About the job
Our client is a global investment management firm. They seek a Senior Internal Auditor to join their Los Angeles, CA office. This opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule and competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Identify operational, compliance, and financial risks through risk assessments and audits
- Execute the planning, fieldwork, and reporting stages of internal audits
- Lead interviews to understand current state systems and controls and assess risks
- Complete walk-throughs of control processes and substantive testing, as necessary
- Design and implement audit procedures for high-risk and complex audit areas
- Perform data analytic procedures to identify emerging risks and patterns
- Complete work papers that articulate the work performed and the conclusions reached
- Identify and document audit findings and discuss findings with the stakeholders
- Draft audit reports and communicating audit results via presentations to management
- Advise stakeholders on the strengths/weaknesses of controls and develop solutions
Requirements
- 4+ years of internal audit experience
- Financial services industry background
- Public (Big 4) or combo accounting experience
- Data analytics experience is a plus
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- CPA strongly preferred
