Import/Export Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for administering the efficient and economical movement of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant local, country, and international customs laws and processes.

Main Duties

Be part of a team that pushes boundaries in the food industry. We offer opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic, international environment. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documents required for lawful completion of international trade activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of commercial and sales invoices in accordance with physical shipments, customer SLIs, quantities, value of goods, and country of origin.
  • Obtain transport quotations and options to meet client or event delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders and couriers to schedule and monitor shipments.
  • Track and report shipment status, providing timely updates to relevant departments.
  • Calculate load plans for container and full trailer shipments.
  • Handle inquiries and concerns related to shipping promptly.
  • Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
