Our Emissions Services team delivers innovative technologies and solutions that support environmental compliance and reduce carbon footprints across various industries.

As a supply chain and Logistics Coordinator in the Emissions Services team, you will assist with the entire supply chain logistics planning, focusing on the transport and handling of high-value equipment essential for emissions control projects. You’ll coordinate shipments with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), manage inventory, tools, and equipment, and oversee the procurement and organisation of warehouse space. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all logistics are aligned with project goals and sustainability targets.

  • Coordinate Transport: Manage the booking and scheduling of transport for high-value emissions control equipment, ensuring timely and secure delivery across the UK and Europe.
  • Work with 3PLs: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality for transport and warehousing needs.
  • Manage EU import/export: Coordinate the movement of goods in and out of the EU across multiple entities.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of high-value tools, equipment, and parts, ensuring accurate inventory control and availability for emissions reduction projects.
  • Warehouse Procurement: Identify and secure warehouse space, ensuring it meets project requirements for storage and handling of emissions control technology.
  • Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms for equipment, tools, and storage solutions, ensuring compliance with AVK’s sustainability goals.
  • Sustainability and Emissions Reduction: Support AVK’s commitment to reducing emissions by ensuring efficient logistics operations that minimise waste, optimise transport routes, and contribute to the overall sustainability of projects.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all logistics processes are compliant with industry regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Reporting: Track and report on logistics performance, including delivery times, costs, and inventory levels, ensuring continual process improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in logistics management, ideally within a technical or construction-related field, with knowledge of EU import/export.
  • Proven experience in contact lifting, lorry loader cranes, and oversized load movements.
  • Proven experience managing high-value abnormal loads and equipment, working with third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in managing inventory and coordinating transport.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage suppliers and negotiate contracts.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical skills for tracking and reporting.
  • A proactive approach to improving logistics processes, with a focus on sustainability and emissions reduction.
  • A full, valid driving licence and the ability to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
