Position Description
VENTEON Finance is hiring a PAYROLL SPECIALIST to provide support for a healthcare client in Detroit, MI. Assist the team in analyzing, correcting, and processing employee timesheets and supporting payroll operations.
POSITION TYPE: Contract. In Office. M-F 8-4:30 PM PAY: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
Requirements of the Payroll Specialist:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing.
- Work experience with that includes union processing, calculating shift differentials and processing deductions and garnishments.
- Knowledge of Kronos, Peoplesoft, ADP.
Duties of the Payroll Specialist:
- Responsible for timekeeping duties. Analyze, correct and process payroll transactions and ensure proper internal coding is applied per company policies.
- Ensure proper deductions and garnishments are taken.
- Provide support for employees and for internal questions regarding payroll.
- Process check requests. Reconcile and process garnishments checks.
- Process payroll corrections as needed.
- Take part in other payroll processing activities.
