Rehab and Beyond is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free rehabilitative care to the needed Stroke and Brain injury surviving community. Most are uninsured or under-insured. For instance, patients on Medicare may be eligible for only a few sessions before benefits expire and they must wait until a new calendar year to resume physical therapy. Rehab and Beyond have created the RTS program(Rehab Training Scholarship program. This program awards free rehabilitative sessions to Stroke and Brain injury survivors, at no cost. https://youtu.be/zoHlnekOfCw “Day of Rehab” are periodic days during the year, where we provide free Therapy to all that are in attendance. In addition to being awarded the RTS program and “Day of Rehab”, the recipient and their caregiver/loved ones are automatically included in our total “community outreach”. With our existing partnerships and relationships with medical facilities, organizations, and individuals, Community outreach provides: Support groups Community events Post-incident education Post-incident resources

Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role(1 day per week, 3-month contract) for a Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist at Rehab and Beyond in Tucker, GA. The therapists will be responsible for providing patient care and rehabilitation services to Stroke, Brain injury, and SCI patients. They will work closely with the community, medical facilities, and organizations to enhance the overall well-being of the patients.
Qualifications
- Patient Care Skills
- Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Expertise
- Experience in Home Care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Certification as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with Stroke, Brain injury, and SCI survivors is a plus
- Knowledge of community resources and outreach programs
