Software Engineer I – TS/SCI Full Scope Poly Required
Recruiting for this position is being handled by Corps Team on behalf of our government contracting client. This is a full-time, direct hire, employee position with benefits. This role is on site in Washington, D.C. with an expected salary of $175-185k depending on experience and qualifications. An ACTIVE TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is REQUIRED. CI is not a substitute for FSP.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate for the Software Engineer I role, you will directly support analysts and developers within the AT SI section. Working closely with the team lead, you will play a crucial role in rapidly building a variety of specialized tools and tradecraft to enhance the CNO mission. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative solutions for scalable data analysis, task automation, and workflow improvement through a flexible technology stack. The ideal candidate should thrive in dynamic settings, collaborating closely with a diverse group of users and deriving satisfaction from observing users effectively utilize the tools they create and maintain. Develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions using modern tools and techniques.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Familiarity with data science principles and techniques, demonstrating the ability to analyze and derive insights from complex datasets
- Experience with back-end development using Python to create custom libraries and REST API functions
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git for collaborative development
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React/Vue/Next, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 for creating user interfaces
- Willingness and ability to learn and adapt quickly on the job, including internal systems unique to CNO. Problem-solving mindset and a passion for delivering quality solutions
- Eagerness to expand knowledge and stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

- Ability to work on site at Ft. Meade
