On behalf of our client, we are searching for a Senior Key Account Manager EMEA. This position is remote.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Key Account Manager to join the EMEA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing senior customer relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to expand market presence in EMEA, with a particular focus on Northern & Western Europe. The focus is on retail customers and also B2B relationships. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in sales leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
The role requires adaptability to varying customer needs and demand in the key markets and involves making impactful decisions in the market under responsibility in driving our client’s growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage Key accounts in the European Market. (Key focus on Benelux, Germany, France, UK&I, & Scandinavia.)
• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments.
• Develop and implement strategic long-term strategic joint-business plan with key customers, including aligning on marketing budget for trade and promotional activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
• Negotiate complex and long-term contracts, pricing, commercial terms with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote our brand and products.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food-Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in sales management within the food industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive market.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross functional areas.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level customers.
• Strong previous experience in the premium fresh produce industry in Northern & Western Europe.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to travel within Europe as required, potentially 40-50% of the time.
