Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of WMSC Payroll Support in our Houston, Texas office. This role involves managing a variety of tasks related to payroll and customer service. This is a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Accurately processing and documenting customer credit applications
- Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records
- Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions when required
- Managing the intake desk for the Garnishment department and handling incoming mail related to garnishment orders
- Accurately documenting garnishment orders on Excel spreadsheets
- Maintaining a basic understanding of payroll processing, including reporting maintenance and client requirements
- Inputting data necessary for the computation of pay according to company policy
- Making necessary adjustments to salaries, special payments, and other payroll-related changes
- Assisting in processing payroll transactions related to banking, such as stop payments and managing invalid employee accounts
- Maintaining regular contact with clients to address Payroll/HR/Benefit issues
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and ADP MasterTax for various tasks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in data entry and office functions.
- Experience in generating reports and using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Capacity to provide training on procedures and company policies.
- Ability to schedule appointments and manage coordination tasks effectively.
- Practical experience in payroll management and payment processing.
- Research skills to support decision making and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and workstation support tools.
- Familiarity with benefit functions and production processes.
- Ability to handle payroll functions, including making adjustments as needed.
- Knowledge of salary structures and experience in processing payroll.
- Understanding of disability benefits and related procedures.
- Proficiency in Workday and ADP Financial Services systems.
- Ability to perform onsite tasks and demonstrate coordination skills.
