PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR

Job Type: Full-time Salary $115k – $140k

Foy Group is a woman owned electrical contracting business based out of Renton with a satellite office in Everett, WA., which has been servicing the PNW for 25 years. We are a Commercial and Industrial electrical contractor. We are affiliated with NECA and IBEW.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with estimators, superintendents, and foreman to plan, organize, and direct activities related to electrical construction projects.
  • Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • Establish expectations with supervisors and foreman related to work procedures, labor budget, and construction problems.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contactors to facilitate project activities and build relationships with our clients.
  • Monitor and control the project through administrative direction and cost budget analysis with on-site foreman to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintaining good client relations.
  • Estimate and track change orders.
  • Ability to estimate projects using Accubid Pro.
  • Manage procurement of supplies, packages, and commodities to complete project in keeping with the overall schedule.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
  • Work with the superintendent to assign workers to construction sites to work on specified projects.
  • Effectively meet deadlines and manage projects through closeout.
  • You must have the ability to commute.
  • This job is in person, Renton, WA.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • Must have electrical project management experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); college degree, or trade school training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Bluebeam, and Accubid Pro.
  • Five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Construction Management Degree a plus.
  • Field experience is a plus.

Skills:

  • Team oriented.
  • Ability to write proposals and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Have sound reasoning abilities.
  • Positive ‘can do attitude’ and solution finder.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills and resourcefulness
