Procurement Analyst – Maintenance Components Category

Job Description:
Position’s Contributions to Work Group: This role will support the Maintenance Components category procurement team by contributing to strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying alternate suppliers for constrained parts and presenting sourcing recommendations to peers and leaders for approval.
- Collaborating with peers to establish resource development timelines, tracking progress to ensure alignment with team objectives.
- Assisting the buyer of fluid conveyance tubes by managing their workload, including loading pricing, routing price increases for approval, and resolving system issues (grief).
- Analyzing part attribute data to identify parts suitable for resourcing aligned with supplier capabilities.
- Maintaining a tracking file for ongoing projects, detailing their status and impact on overall team goals.
- Preparing and presenting PowerPoint slides for sourcing council approval of source changes.
- Identifying new suppliers, obtaining quotations, and processing supplier selection.
- Resolving invoicing issues by working with the buyer to address price discrepancies.
- Validating supplier price increases and decreases with contractual requirements and market data, routing for approvals, and loading revised pricing in procurement systems.
Typical Day or Week in the Role:
- Data Analysis: Analyze part attribute data to identify potential parts for resourcing, working with suppliers to obtain quotations.
- Project Tracking: Maintain a detailed tracking file for in-progress projects, monitor their status, and assess their impact on team objectives.
- Sourcing Council Presentations: Prepare and present slides to the sourcing council for approval on source changes.
- Supplier Identification: Identify potential suppliers for new parts, obtain quotations, and manage the supplier selection process.
- Invoicing Issues: Collaborate with the buyer to resolve price discrepancies and clear invoicing grief.
- Price Validation: Validate supplier price increases or decreases against contractual terms and market data, then route for approvals and update procurement systems.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Purchasing.
- CPSM/CPPM/CPP (Certified Professional Supply Management; Certified Professional Purchasing Management; Certified Purchasing Professional) certifications preferred.
